An enthusiastic group of ladies signed up for a pastel workshop on January 11th at the Center in Palos. I showed the group how to make different strokes and how to mix color with soft pastel. This time I kept it simple by only using 4 colors and worked on the basics of creating a simple landscape.

 

We worked on two surfaces. One was a smooth Strathmore paper and the other was Pastel Multimedia panels that have a sanded surface. All of us were grateful to Tom Carney, president of Multimedia Artboard for donating  9 x 12 in. panels for our experimentation.
